Chapter Philanthropy and Service

Our chapter puts on many events throughout the year to support our national philanthropy, breast cancer awareness and education. We host many events to raise money for our philanthropy including Queso for a Cause, Mr. Southwestern, and much more. In October, which is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the members of our chapter volunteer in Austin's Susan G. Women walk, Georgetown's Jameson 5K, and more. In 2019, we hosted our first Mr. Southwestern event! This all male pageant is a super fun way to raise money for our philanthropy. This event takes place in our University's ballroom and over 100 people attend.

In addition, each member is required to fulfill 5 additional service hours independently, either in the Georgetown or Austin community, or at Southwestern University. We also recently participated in Clean Up Georgetown, an event coordinated by the Student Government Association. Members of our chapter assisted in cleaning up litter around different parts of Georgetown such as the Blue Hole, Lake Georgetown, and more.
