Chapter History

Zeta Tau Alpha Fraternity was founded in 1898 at Longwood University in Farmville, Virginia. A mere eight years later, the Lambda chapter was founded at Southwestern University on October 6, 1906, as the 12th Zeta Tau Alpha chapter nation-wide. Lambda chapter is the second oldest chapter on campus. Since its founding, Lambda has initiated hundreds of sisters in the chapter with 109 pledge classes.
